Canggu has become a paradise for food lovers, attracting both local and international travelers. In this article, we’re focusing on 5 cozy coffee shops that are great for remote working, relaxing, or simply hanging out. Some of these places are still underrated and not yet widely known by tourists. A few spots that caught our attention include:
1. Revolver Cafe, a busy and well-known favorite among travelers.
2. Miel Specialty Coffee Canggu, a comfortable spot designed for remote workers.
3. Moodest Cafe, a small local-style cafe with a cleaner and more organized atmosphere.
4. Eko Cafe, a natural-modern cafe offering plenty of healthy menu options.
5. Lova Cafe, a hidden gem tucked inside a small road with an incredible green rice field view.
Located near the Canggu coastline, Revolver Cafe combines eclectic grunge, boho, and rustic styles with exposed concrete walls, wooden accents, and warm dim lighting. The Australian-inspired atmosphere feels cozy with a slightly edgy vibe that matches the busy energy of Canggu itself. The cafe sits on Jalan Nelayan, right near the turn toward Subak Canggu Road.
This place is perfect for morning breakfast sessions or late afternoons before sunset. The first thing I tried here was the coffee, and with prices starting from around 30K IDR, it’s a solid choice for backpackers. Their breakfast menu leans toward American-style dishes such as burgers, salads, sandwiches, and smoothie bowls. They also serve cocktails, sodas, and fresh juices. Dinner is available from 5 PM until 11 PM.
Overall, Revolver is great for casual hangouts, breakfast, and light meals. However, because it gets quite crowded, it may not be the best place for deep focus work, although there are still a few cozy corners if you want some alone time.
Try not to come by car because parking is very limited. Best time to visit is around 7–8 AM for breakfast.
This coffee shop only stays open until 7 PM, but the atmosphere is calm, comfortable, and not too noisy. The fast WiFi and peaceful environment make it one of the better spots in Canggu for remote workers. The coffee quality is excellent without being overpriced, and the tropical-style interior makes it easy to spend hours here.
Some of the most popular menu items during my visit were brunch dishes like Truffle Soft Scramble, Brioche French Toast, Smashed Avocado, and even heavier meals such as the Wagyu Burger. The menu focuses more on full meals rather than pastries.
The cafe is also vegetarian and vegan friendly. Another plus is the spacious parking area and pet-friendly policy, so bringing your pet is completely fine here. It’s a great place for casual hangouts, breakfast, lunch, and remote work sessions.
It can get slightly noisier during lunch hours, but it’s still comfortable enough for working. It’s also a good idea to keep your phone on silent while working here.
This might be the most underrated and affordable place on this list, but it absolutely deserves a recommendation because of its tasty food and clean environment.
Located between Canggu and Kerobokan, right across from Balvanta Coliving — a popular stay among digital nomads — Moodest Cafe works well as a quick stop to relax before continuing your day.
The prices are very reasonable while the quality stays surprisingly good. Coffee starts from around 20K IDR for local Bali coffee, breakfast starts from 40K, and salads begin at around 30K. They also offer desserts, juices, smoothies, and cocktails.
At first, I honestly didn’t expect much from this place. The atmosphere is simple, sitting beside a fairly quiet road with fewer crowds compared to central Canggu. It looks like a typical local cafe from the outside, just cleaner and more organized. But after spending some time there, it became clear why people keep coming back.
The place is quite small, so it’s better for people who enjoy outdoor seating. Pets are welcome here.
Eko Cafe is one of the newer spots gaining popularity and still feels underrated for many travelers. The cafe carries a natural-modern concept, with many parts of the building made from recycled materials.
The peaceful atmosphere makes it suitable for digital workers, casual hangouts, or even family gatherings.
Their menu combines Asian and international flavors. For heavier meals, they serve dishes like Pho, Ramen, and Tom Yum soup. They also offer sandwiches, rice bowls, and several American-style menu options.
One thing that stands out is their healthy selection. You’ll find salad bowls, fresh juices, fruit smoothies, protein shakes, and kombucha.
Perfect for people who enjoy healthy food. Their smoothie bowls are probably among the best around the area.
This cafe is honestly too beautiful to skip. The green rice field view feels refreshing, especially combined with its warm European-inspired architecture that looks incredibly Instagrammable.
Everyone knows how crowded the Berawa area in Canggu can get, but hidden among the small streets is Lova Cafe, sitting peacefully in front of a rice field that somehow makes you forget all the traffic outside.
Their menu is more breakfast-oriented, with customer favorites including Eggs Benedict Salmon, Avocado Toast, Croissants, Zucchini Pancakes, and several pasta dishes.
The cafe stays open until 11 PM and provides reliable WiFi, making it suitable for working while relaxing.
Come in the late afternoon because the sunset really adds to the atmosphere and aesthetic. It’s better to come by motorbike since the cafe is located on a narrow road.
